Based on the poll results, it sounds like nobody wants to hear about the Politics over here in NZ. Let me tell you, I'm very happy that there were no votes for that because I just don't think that the posts would be that interesting.

We will be concentrating on making our readers happy and creating more posts regarding:
-Pictures, Activities, Foods, Sports, Differences, and News.

This weekend we went to the Aquarium here in Auckland called Kelly Tarltons. It was great and we saw penguins, stingrays, sharks, turtles, and various types of fish. We also saw the feeding of the Stingrays and learned some very interesting information regarding them and that they are peaceful fish and only hurt when they feel threatened or get stepped on. I'm sure many people remember that Steve Irwin (The Croc Hunter) was killed by a Stingray about 10 months ago.

Check out some of the pictures from the aquarium here.

Fishes look like fun. Did they have an opportunity for you to swim with the stingrays? Some places do that. Highlights of the photos include the green snow the penguins were playing in and Erin's impression of a sucker fish. You guys could spend weekends scrubbing tanks if you need extra cash.

They wouldn't let us swim with them, so sad. They are really big though!
There are places north of here when you can swim with dolphins...not ride on them like in an enclosed pen, but real dolphins that you can swim near.

No opportunities for us to swim with the stingrays, the tank wasn't that big. Erin's fish impressions are very good, that's for sure.

The fish tanks were amazingly clean so I'm assuming that they have professional cleaners...although I can sure scrub a shower clean.

We learned about the "stingray shuffle" in Key West, which is what you're supposed to do to avoid stepping on one. If you're in an area with stingrays, just shuffle around and the movement will scare them away before you get to them.
