Our weekend has been very good so far. Friday was a night out at the town drinking in bars with both Erin and my co-workers. Saturday included a night of poker for Jeremy and Erin drinking wine with the girls. But, our big day was today (Sunday). Similar to last Sunday we got up bright and early and headed out to the Car Fair. We weren't dead set on getting a car today, but figured that we were ready for one if we saw something that we liked. After strolling around for 25 minutes, we came across a car that looked pretty decent.
We took it for a test drive, looked under the bonnet (hood), checked out the boot (trunk), felt the tires, and then went down and paid some money to have some professionals inspect it and give us a report. The report came back pretty decent with only a few minor things that needed to be fixed. While waiting for our inspection, Erin went and got a Vehicle Inspection Report which told us about the cars history and that there are no unpaid fees. We headed back to the people who were selling it and asked for a couple hundred dollars off the price and they agreed. We exchanged some details and gave $50 cash as a deposit.
We agreed that we would get a bank check and they would come by our place tomorrow night and drop it off. Yes that's right...WE HAVE A CAR!!! It's very exciting and it fits one of Erin's parameters which is "not white" (it's silver). So we are now the proud owners of a 2001 Holden Vectra. We love the car and hope that it will be good to us for the next couple of years.

Dude, do you even fit in that car? It kind of looks like your head might hit the roof.
Congrats on the big purchase. Is gas expensive over there?
It's only the picture that's small, the car isn't bad size. And the boot is very big, can hold plenty of luggage for when people come to visit.
Gas is expensive, it's 1.59 per litre, which I think equates to around 6 dollars per gallon.
