Day 2

On Day 2, we had a guided hike on the famous Milford Track planned which we were very excited about. Our original plan was to walk the track for a few days, but the huts were booked out months in advance and we couldn't get in.

Hunter was our guide on the trip and was able to tell us about the area, the various tree's, birds, and other wildlife. On the way back to the boat, we walked a little bit of the Routeburn track and stopped at nice river for a little break and a fill up for our water.

At night when we got back to the town, our main focus was to find a place that would serve us some good venison so that's what we had for dinner (and of course wine and beer).
